Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday departed Abuja for Brazil to represent Nigeria at an international climate change summit.
The high-level meeting will bring together global leaders, policymakers, and environmental experts to discuss strategies for combating climate change, promoting green energy, and advancing sustainable development.

Shettima is expected to present Nigeria’s position on climate resilience, renewable energy investment, and the country’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.
He will also engage with other world leaders on bilateral partnerships aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s environmental initiatives and climate adaptation programs.
