Former Kaduna Senator Nenadi Usman has publicly distanced herself from controversial posts falsely attributed to her on X, debunking claims that she made demeaning remarks about certain Southeast governors.
In a firm statement, Usman condemned the spread of misinformation using her name, warning the public against falling for fake narratives. “I am aware of the misinformation and false statements circulating across various platforms that misuse my name to spread inaccurate narratives. Let me be clear: any information not directly from my official account should be considered false,” she said.

The former senator also made it clear that she has no parody accounts, alternative pages, or unofficial representatives speaking on her behalf. “The only authentic source for my statements, comments, and positions on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, or any other platform is my official, verified handle,” she stated.
Usman urged the public to remain vigilant against falsehoods deliberately designed to mislead. She emphasized her commitment to truth, transparency, and public service, calling on Nigerians to disregard any content not originating from her official pages.
“Accept no imitations; if it’s not from my official verified handle, it is NOT from me,” she declared.
Her response comes amid growing concerns over the rise of impersonation and fake news on social media, with many high-profile figures becoming targets of misinformation.
