Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas joins family, friends, constituents, and Deltans at large in celebrating the 70th birthday of His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, the former Executive Governor of Delta State (2007–2015). Dr. Uduaghan, a leader fondly referred to as “Asamaigor,” is being hailed for his significant contributions to the development of Delta State, and his role as a mentor to many prominent figures in the state, including Senator Thomas.

“I don’t call him my political father for nothing,” Senator Joel-Onowakpo stated, recalling how Uduaghan appointed him as Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area in 2007, marking the beginning of his public service career. He further highlighted his appointment in 2009 as Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, a period during which the state saw a significant boost in revenue and remarkable developmental strides.
