Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Delta State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Deputy President of the Senate has appealed to the Isoko people to desist from sending a native doctor to the gathering met for intellectually and educationally sound individuals to the senate.

He said if the people desire someone to replicate his performance for Delta central in Delta south, then, they must make sure they support and vote for Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, Delta south APC senatorial candidate, in the forthcoming elections.

The Delta State APC gubernatorial candidate in a statement at Ozoro, to intimate a vast majority of Deltans yearning for change during the Delta state APC gubernatorial campaign, noted it would be catastrophic to send someone who does not understand the nitty-gritty of lawmaking to the Red Chamber of the National Assembly in this era.

According to the distinguished Deputy President of the Senate, there is a lot of politicking in the Red Chamber and if a representative is not grounded, he would be inconsequential in the scheme of affairs, stressing that Joel-Onowakpo remains the only candidate whose public profile and brilliance can carve a niche for Delta south in the senate.

While he advised the Isoko people on the need to support Joel-Onowakpo who was a former chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue (DBIR) during ex-governor Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan’s regime, the APC gubernatorial candidate and by his grace the incoming governor of Delta state exemplified the Delta south APC senatorial candidate for being exceptionally brilliant.

Penultimately, Omo-Agege stated that the time for Delta south to utilise the exceptional brilliance of Joel-Onowakpo in the senate has come and assured the Isoko people that the tax expert would ensure he delivers the best results while exercising the best of options in synergy with the executive arm of government to bring the dividends of democracy to the people.

However, he reminded the Isoko people of the insistence by the ethnic nationalities in Delta south on Joel-Onowakpo’s candidacy and urged them to throw their full weight behind him to achieve the desired senatorial conquest.
