The senator representing Delta North, Senator Ned Nwoko, has unveiled a newly completed mini-stadium in Issele-Uku, headquarters of Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, describing the project as a symbol of collective progress and youth empowerment in the region.
In a post shared on X on Tuesday, the senator said the mini-stadium was conceived to inspire young people, promote healthy competition, and foster community unity.
“This project was conceived to inspire our youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community spirit,” he said.
The facility, according to him, features a standard football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports arena, spectator pavilions on both sides, and fully equipped dressing rooms, providing an enabling environment for sports and recreation.

“For me, every project is about impact, about giving our people access to facilities that uplift, empower, and unite,” Sen. Nwoko stated.
“With this stadium, we are nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders who will make Delta North proud.”
Reaffirming his commitment to grassroots development, Sen. Nwoko added that his development initiatives are driven by a vision to transform communities across the senatorial district.
“Our journey of transformation continues, one community at a time,” he said.
The Delta senator, known for his advocacy on sustainable agriculture, recently proposed a bill for the establishment and management of ranches across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The bill, titled: “A bill for an Act to provide for the establishment, development, and management of ranches in the 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory to promote modern livestock farming, curb open grazing, enhance food security, and for related matters,” seeks to modernise livestock farming and address open grazing challenges nationwide.
