Security operatives in Calabar have rescued 17 out of the 30 people whisked away by abductors in a boat to an unknown location 11 days ago.
The 17, our reporter gathered, were selected by the kidnappers who asked all the 30 passengers to keep their faces down while picking those they wanted, including one white man.
The boat was hijacked by suspected sea pirates on the Calabar waterways on September 26, and the victims regained their freedom on October 6.
