Saudi Arabia may likely be the venue to host the heavyweight rematch between Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Anthony Joshua.
The rematch, likely to be held within the latter days of June is a tough fight between two heavyweight boxers that have agreed to challenge themselves again to a bout The Trumpet gathered.
According to Usyk’s boxing promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, Saudi is the place both are considering for a rematch. Krassyuk said, “Saudi is the place we are in discussions with at the moment.
“Late June is the date we are looking at. Nothing has been confirmed on paper. We are working on it,” he added.
However, with the likelihood that Saudi Arabia would host the rematch, Krassyuk did not rule out other venue
He said: “There are other options but we will take it step by step.” Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk recently withdrew from defending his country against the Russians to honour the contractual terms of the fight with Anthony Joshua which stipulated a rematch between the duo.
