Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has rewarded six exemplary civil servants with brand-new cars, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the state’s public service. The announcement was made during the Governor’s Lunch with Outstanding Officers, held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Ikeja on Friday.
In his speech, Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the awardees for their unwavering commitment and dedication to excellence, emphasizing their pivotal role in advancing the state’s public sector. The event also celebrated 210 public servants, including 117 senior and 93 junior officers, with six standing out as the most outstanding.
Reflecting on the achievements of the state’s workforce, Sanwo-Olu said, “Earlier today, I met with some elderly citizens, and they were full of praises for each and every one of you. Let it be said that we’re actually the best out of all the states in the country. We don’t mince words when we say that we have the best civil servants in Nigeria.”

The governor further highlighted the distinction of Lagos’ civil service compared to federal counterparts. “Our heads are held high,” he remarked, stressing the importance of maintaining excellence in public service delivery.
