Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commended industry-leading strides of Air Peace Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema in the aviation sector and urged him to “keep shinning the light.”
Sanwo-Olu, who gave the commendation while receiving the Silverbird Man of the Year award recently, expressed delight over the significant impact, which the aviation expert has made and is still making in the industry.
While assuring Onyema of continued government support, he charged him not to relent in bringing more innovations and representing the country in the global aviation space through Air Peace Airline.
Commending Air Peace, which recently evacuated stranded Nigerians from Warsaw, Poland, Bucharest, Romania and Budapest, Hungary as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, the governor stressed the need for every Nigerian to give their best in moving the country forward.

The governor told Onyema to keep shining and more exceptional involvement in aviation as his government would continue to support him.
He described Onyema, who has always rescued Nigerians in critical times, as “a true patriot.”
Onyema also bagged Silverbird Extraordinary Achievement Award for his accomplishments in the aviation industry and laudable humanitarian services at the Silverbird’s Man of the Year Award.”
