The political drama surrounding Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan took a stunning turn as U.S.-based psychologist and media scientist, Dr. Sandra Duru—widely known as Prof Mgbeke—released a series of explosive revelations that have sent shockwaves across Nigeria’s digital space.
In a now-viral live stream on her official Facebook page, Prof Mgbeke accused the Kogi Central senator of fabricating the high-profile sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Duru played parts of a recorded conversation she claimed to have had with Natasha, in which the senator allegedly confessed there was no sexual harassment and admitted the allegations were part of a larger political agenda to discredit Akpabio and, by extension, President Bola Tinubu’s administration—described in the conversation as a “Yoruba government.”
Duru revealed that Natasha, during their discussion on March 27, 2025, offered her money to support the allegations but instead admitted that the sexual harassment narrative was a ruse. According to Duru, Natasha openly stated that she was being backed to attack Akpabio as a means of undermining Tinubu’s leadership and opening doors for herself—either as the next Kogi State governor or as a minister.
The media scientist claimed Natasha expressed anger over the Senate hearing not going as planned despite allegedly paying influential voices like activist Oby Ezekwesili and media outlets like Arise TV. Natasha reportedly labeled her own allies “useful idiots” and expressed frustration that their performances had not met expectations.
Duru further alleged that Natasha told her the Nigerian public was gullible and hungry (Q & H), easily manipulated by media narratives, adding that the senator attempted to rope her into writing letters to international bodies including the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and United Nation (UN) in support of her claims. Natasha later deleted messages from her chats with Duru, unaware that the content had already been saved.
One of the most shocking claims was Natasha’s alleged admission that since the sexual harassment angle wasn’t gaining traction, she was prepared to switch to another narrative—accusing Akpabio of organ harvesting. Duru said she demanded evidence, which Natasha failed to provide, leading her to conclude that the entire scheme was a political hit job.

The recordings, which allegedly feature Natasha plotting with a powerful political figure and admitting that Akpabio never harassed her, contradict her public statements made during a February 28, 2025 interview with Arise TV. In that broadcast, Natasha claimed Akpabio held her hand and propositioned her during a December 8, 2023 visit—an allegation Akpabio has repeatedly denied.
Akpabio’s legal counsel, led by senior advocate Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, demanded a full retraction from Natasha, citing inconsistencies in her account. A letter dated April 14, 2025, had warned Natasha to clarify her claims, and with Duru’s revelations now in the spotlight, pressure is mounting for accountability.
