Liverpool has removed Mohamed Salah from its travelling squad for the Champions League clash against Inter Milan after the forward’s interview ignited tension within the club. The decision followed Salah’s pointed remarks on Saturday, where he said he felt “thrown under the bus” and openly acknowledged a breakdown in his relationship with head coach Arne Slot.
Club sources confirmed that Salah’s exclusion was approved by Slot and framed as a temporary measure meant to calm the situation. The club has decided against any formal disciplinary action, but officials admitted the timing and tone of the interview left little room for compromise.
