In an event that captured the attention of technology enthusiasts, environmental advocates, and car lovers alike, Roxettes Motors conducted a pioneering drive test of their latest electric vehicle, the Surge-X, at the bustling Okpara Square. This test drive not only showcased the capabilities of the Surge-X but also highlighted Roxettes Motors’ commitment to sustainable transportation in Nigeria.

The event kicked off with the unveiling of the Surge-X, which Roxettes Motors describes as “The Top Choice Luxury Electric Vehicle.” The vehicle boasts a sleek design, combining luxury with eco-friendliness, featuring an aerodynamic exterior that promises both style and efficiency. Attendees were treated to a detailed presentation on the Surge-X’s features:

With a range of up to 500km on a single charge and a top speed of 180km/h, the Surge-X aims to dispel myths about electric vehicles lacking in power or range.

The cabin is designed for comfort and luxury, with heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.

Roxettes emphasizes the Surge-X’s minimal environmental footprint, aligning with global trends towards reducing carbon emissions.

The highlight of the event was the drive test around Okpara Square. A select group of journalists, influencers, and potential buyers were given the opportunity to experience the Surge-X firsthand.

Participants praised the smooth acceleration and the near-silent operation of the Surge-X, a stark contrast to gasoline-powered vehicles. The electric motor provided instant torque, making for a responsive and engaging drive.

Roxettes Motors took the opportunity to discuss their plans for expanding charging stations across Nigeria, addressing one of the primary concerns for potential EV owners – charging accessibility.

Local residents and passersby showed keen interest, with many taking selfies with the Surge-X, symbolizing a growing public curiosity and acceptance of electric vehicles in Nigeria.

The reception was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating Roxettes Motors’ initiative in bringing such advanced technology to Nigeria. Social media platforms buzzed with pictures and videos from the event, with hashtags like #SurgeXOkpara trending locally.

Experts see this as a significant step for the adoption of electric vehicles in Nigeria, potentially setting a precedent for other manufacturers to follow.

The company expressed optimism about the Surge-X’s potential market impact. “This is just the beginning,” said CEO of Roxettes Motors. “We’re committed to leading Nigeria towards a sustainable future in automotive technology.”

The Surge-X’s drive test at Okpara Square was not just a demonstration of a vehicle but a statement of intent from Roxettes Motors. As Nigeria grapples with environmental challenges and seeks economic diversification, the introduction of luxury electric vehicles like the Surge-X could be pivotal in reshaping the country’s automotive landscape. This event which was well attended might well mark the beginning of a new era for electric mobility in Nigeria, promising cleaner air, less noise pollution, and a step towards sustainable urban living.
