Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new two-year contract extension with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, confirming he will remain with the Riyadh-based side well into his 40s. The Portuguese superstar, who turns 41 in February 2026, has now committed to staying with the Saudi Pro League giants until at least the summer of 2027.
Ronaldo initially joined Al-Nassr in December 2022 after a dramatic exit from Manchester United. His initial contract was set to expire this June, sparking widespread speculation about a potential departure or retirement. That speculation has now been silenced, as the five-time Ballon d’Or winner prepares to enter what may be the final chapter of his legendary career.

While Al-Nassr has yet to add to their collection of nine domestic league titles since Ronaldo’s arrival, the former Real Madrid and Juventus icon has had an enormous individual impact. He scored 35 goals in 41 matches last season and secured the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot for the second consecutive year.
Ronaldo has now registered an incredible 99 goals in just 111 appearances for Al-Nassr. With a current career total of 938 goals for both club and country, he is closing in on the mythical 1,000-goal milestone, an achievement no player in football history has reached in official competition.
Still leading Portugal’s national team, Ronaldo recently helped his country lift the UEFA Nations League trophy and remains in contention for what could be a record-breaking sixth FIFA World Cup appearance in 2026.
