The Rivers State House of Assembly is probing the state Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi, for alleged age falsification.
The assembly at its plenary on Thursday, passed the resolution after considering a motion moved the House Leader, Major Jack accusing the state chief judge of falsifying his age.
In their contributions, members of the House noted that while age falsification is a serious offence, the allegation must be proved.
They called on the security agencies to do the needful and investigate the allegation against the state chief judge.

Speaker Martins Amaewhule in contributing to the debate, said Section 128 of the 1999 constitution empowers the assembly to investigate all government agencies, ministries and departments.
He however, alleged that Governor Siminalaiyi Fubara has barred all his appointees from appearing before the assembly for investigation.
The speaker called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the allegation, after which the agency’s findings would be forwarded to the National Judicial Council (NJC) for further action.
