Fiery public affairs analyst and former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has dumped the APC for the African Democratic Congress,(ADC)
In a statement on Tuesday, Eze said the “brazen ineptitude” of the current regime led by the APC and President Tinubu are part of his reasons for leaving the APC.
He said he has pitched tent with the ADC, to join other patriots and people of good conscience to propagate the ideologies of the party to the Nigerian public.
Recalling his roles in championing the APC during its formative years, Eze said he regrets being among those who spoke to the conscience of Nigerians to accept the party and the promises it carried for the country, because the APC has lost direction and has been reduced to a congregation of minions and puppets adoring the gross incompetence of Tinubu.
“We promised Nigerians that we will improve the value of our local currency to the dollar, but the naira has maintained a free-fall trajectory and abysmal performance in the international money market.
“We promised to erase insecurity in Nigeria, but instead the party and the government in power has turned the country to a graveyard where no Nigerian is sure of life.
“The party promised sufficient food for all Nigerians, instead the government is building Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps to house farmers as bandits raze the homes and villages in the North East and North Central zones that are the food basket of this nation,” he said.
Eze further regretted that the APC promised quality education, but observed that today, education is flat on its back, beaten into a prostrate position .
He listed other woes wrought by Tinubu and the APC and tendered an unreserved apology to all Nigerians for the shame and disparaging image the government has created of Nigeria on the global map.

“The best I can show of my seriousness in my decision is to disengage myself from such an evil set-up that doesn’t mean well for Nigeria and Nigerians and join the African Democratic Congress to collaborate with others to turn the fortunes of this country and restore a true and genuine democracy to us all.
“Today, no Nigerian can claim to be safe anymore as the country has been turned into a field of bloodbath. If we count daily, the number of Nigerians that are killed, they would be in hundreds.
“Suicide bombing are now back in our midst. Our soldiers are no longer safe as Boko Haram and their groups now overturn our barracks”, Eze griefed
He lamented that the country is under fire and instead of the president to stay back, show sympathy and devise a workable means of ending the “galloping bloodbath” he preferred to jet to the UK.
Eze however, expressed optimism that Nigerians will unite to ensure that APC government is booted out of power and genuine democrats elected to pave a way for the emancipation and development of the country.
