Police in Los Angeles have arrested a 30-year-old woman after an armed attack on the Beverly Hills residence of global music star Rihanna, raising fresh concerns about the safety of high-profile celebrities.
Authorities said the incident occurred on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at about 1:15 p.m. local time at the singer’s gated estate in the Beverly Crest area. According to investigators, the suspect parked a white vehicle outside the property and allegedly fired several rounds from an AR-15-style rifle toward the residence.
Officers later recovered the weapon along with multiple shell casings at the scene.
Police said at least seven shots were discharged, striking the estate’s front gate and a recreational vehicle parked in the driveway. One of the bullets reportedly entered part of the mansion.
Neither Rihanna nor her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, was injured in the incident, and no other occupants of the property were harmed.
The Los Angeles Police Department said officers tracked the suspect to a parking lot in Sherman Oaks, about eight miles from the property, where she was arrested without resistance.

Detectives from the department’s LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division are currently leading the investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting.
Authorities said it remains unclear whether the suspect had any prior connection to Rihanna or members of her household.
Security analysts say the incident highlights the growing security risks faced by celebrities living in private residential areas, even where properties are protected by gates and private security arrangements.
Police have continued investigations while the suspect remains in custody pending further questioning.
