The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) has organized a high-level simulation exercise aimed at evaluating the nation’s readiness to handle potential emergencies and security threats.
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) played a significant role in the exercise, with its Deputy Director of the Department of Community Safety and Awareness, Mr. Oriasotie Saturday, representing Director General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.

During the exercise, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Nmoyem, Director of Rapid Response II, emphasized that the simulation was intended to assess the response capabilities of various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and to improve their readiness for effective crisis management.

Mrs. Zubaida Umar, Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), expressed her confidence in the exercise’s success, highlighting that the effective crowd control and coordination observed during the simulation demonstrate the nation’s increasing ability to manage emergency situations.
The coordinated drill involved key security, emergency, and response agencies, including the army, navy, air force, oolice, NSCDC, immigration, fire service, FRSC, FEMA, NEMA, as well as representatives from foreign embassies and other stakeholders.
