Rev. Al Sharpton has accused President Trump of trying to divert attention from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal by attacking prominent Black celebrities.
During an appearance on the live show “TMZ on its Live” on Monday, Sharpton responded to Trump’s assertion that he was paid $600,000 to support Kamala Harris, calling the claim ridiculous and a desperate attempt by Trump to shift the media focus away from the Epstein Files.
Sharpton suggested that Trump is throwing out baseless accusations that aren’t gaining traction, and is now resorting to old tactics by targeting former President Barack Obama and other black celebrities.

He pointed out that after Trump failed to substantiate his claim that Obama committed treason, he shifted his narrative to suggest that Sharpton, Oprah Winfrey, and Beyoncé were compensated to endorse Harris.
Rev. Sharpton noted that Trump’s political career began with the Obama birther conspiracy and is now revisiting those themes by “going after all the blacks.”
The reverend is vocal in his criticism of Trump, hinting that a defamation lawsuit could be on the horizon as well.
This isn’t the first time Rev. Sharpton has accused the president of unfairly targeting successful black men in America with unfounded allegations.
