The All Progressives Congress (APC) faction in Rivers State led by Hon Tony Okacha has urged Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, to resign or face impeachment.
Briefing newsmen on Monday, the APC factional chairman accused Gov. Fubara of disrespecting President Bola Tinubu when the president attempted to wade into the crisis.
According to Okocha, it is the position of the All Progressive Congress that Fubara should resign or be impeached
“That is the position of the All Progressives Congress. He has disrespected Mr. President and we told him that we cannot be here and have him to disrespect Mr. President”
He said the Supreme Court had provided even more evidence to facilitate the Governor’s impeachment, hence the House of Assembly does not need to set up any committee to investigate him.
