The member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has paid over ₦17 million as tuition fees for 10 scholarship beneficiaries at the Madonna University through his charity organisation, the UJA Family Foundation (UFF).

It will be recalled that in 2024, Rep. Ukodhiko, through the UFF, awarded full-tuition scholarships to 10 brilliant Isoko students who aspired to study professional courses.

Five beneficiaries were selected from Isoko North and five from Isoko South after emerging as the highest scorers from the constituency in the 2024 JAMB examination.

The scholars, who secured admission into Madonna University, are currently pursuing top-tier professional programmes, like medicine and surgery, pharmacy, law, and engineering.

Nearly a year after the life-transforming opportunity was offered, Rep. Ukodhiko has continued to honour his pledge of sustained support.

The foundation has now fully paid over ₦17 million in tuition fees for the students’ 2025 academic session, covering their 200-level studies and ensuring they remain focused on their academic goals without financial stress on their parents or guardians.

During a virtual interaction between members of the UFF and families of the beneficiaries, parents and guardians extolled Rep. Ukodhiko’s humanitarian efforts, particularly in the area of education, describing the continued support as a blessing that has reshaped their children’s future prospects.

They noted that without this intervention, pursuing such highly demanding professional courses in an elite private institution would have been practically impossible.

To further motivate the scholars, Rep. Ukodhiko has introduced an academic excellence reward system.

Under this new incentive, the three best-performing students at the end of their 300-level academic year will each receive an Apple laptop to assist their studies and professional growth.

The overall value of the scholarship package—covering full tuition for the entire duration of their respective programmes is projected to exceed ₦100 million, making it one of the most impactful private educational interventions ever recorded in Isoko Nation.

Speaking on the initiative, Rep. Ukodhiko reaffirmed that investing in young people remains at the heart of his philanthropy and public service.

“When we lift our children through education, we lift our communities, our constituency, and ultimately our nation,” he stated.

As the beneficiaries progress in their academic journey, the lawmaker’s sustained support continues to attract widespread commendation across Isoko, solidifying his reputation as a leader who blends public service with compassion, foresight, and an enduring commitment to human capital development.
