The member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has concluded a three-day vocational empowerment programme for youths and women in the constituency.
The initiative was organised in partnership with the Projects Development Institute (PRODA) and Hammdes Nigeria Limited.
The intensive craft training programme commenced with a formal flag-off ceremony in Ozoro on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
It focused on practical enterprise skills including stud and cufflink production, beadwork, and shoe cobbling.
The training was designed to equip participants with hands-on technical knowledge to promote long-term self-reliance and small-scale business development.
Officials of PRODA stated that the training adhered to national industrial standards, positioning beneficiaries to compete effectively in Nigeria’s growing craft and creative production sector while promoting indigenous enterprise and local manufacturing capacity.
At the closing ceremony, participants were presented with official PRODA certificates.
In addition, each beneficiary received a ₦200,000 business support grant facilitated by Rep. Ukodhiko to enable immediate business take-off and ensure a smooth transition from training to enterprise practice.
