The member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has empowered agripreneurs across his constituency with farm inputs and financial support targeted at fishery and piggery farmers.
The initiative followed a three-day training on modern farming techniques and agribusiness management, aimed at strengthening the capacity of beneficiaries to expand their enterprises and improve their livelihoods.
At the presentation ceremony, each fish farmer received 1,500 juvenile fish, six bags of fish feed, and ₦150,000 in cash support.
Also, pig farmers were granted ₦500,000 each as business support to scale up their farms and boost productivity.
Representing Rep. Ukodhiko at the event, Sunday Elueni urged the beneficiaries to put the support to judicious use, reminding them that “every successful business starts with a small idea.”
He expressed confidence that their success stories would encourage the lawmaker to expand such interventions.
