The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has arrived in Delta State on a two-day working visit.
She touched down at the Asaba International Airport at approximately,10:45 am on Tuesday, and was received by the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, alongside his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori.
Also present to welcome her were the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, as well as other top government officials from the state.
The visit marks her second official trip to Delta State, becoming the first lady and the national chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative.
As part of her itinerary, the first lady, in the company of Gov. Oborevwori, attended a high-level meeting with the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
The meeting took place at the traditional rulers secretariat in Asaba.
The meeting, which was graced by key state government officials, focused on collaboration between traditional institutions and government initiatives aimed at enhancing social welfare, especially for women and children.

One of the major highlights of the first lady’s visit would be the official presentation of 10,000 professional kits, including crocs and scrubs, to midwives from the South-South region.
This initiative, championed by the Renewed Hope Initiative, aims to support healthcare workers, enhance maternal and child healthcare, and improve the welfare of midwives.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Event Centre in Asaba, and will be attended by Gov. Oborevwori, state legislators, commissioners, and other key stakeholders.
Also, Mrs. Tinubu is expected to preside over the official launch of the DELCOM COOP/Delta State Oil Palm Plantation Development Land Bank and Agricultural Data Initiative.
The project seeks to boost the agricultural sector in Delta State, particularly in palm oil production, by providing structured land access and data-driven agricultural planning.
The event is scheduled to take place at the New Press Centre, Government House, Asaba, and it is also to be attended by top government officials, including the deputy governor, commissioners, and advisers.
