A fierce clash has erupted in Nollywood as actress Angela Okorie finds herself at the center of a social media firestorm after making shocking claims about fellow star Mercy Johnson’s health. What started as an Instagram live video quickly spiraled into a heated public feud, with Regina Daniels stepping in to defend Mercy and calling out Angela in a fiery response that has since gone viral.

Angela Okorie raised eyebrows earlier this week when she went live on Instagram, alleging that Mercy Johnson was gravely ill and should start seeking forgiveness from people she may have offended in the past. While some fans saw the move as a call for healing, many others accused Angela of being reckless and insensitive among them, Nollywood sweetheart Regina Daniels, who didn’t hold back her outrage.

In a bold Instagram post, Regina Daniels lashed out at Angela, saying, “I’m sorry, but with all due respect, Auntie Angela, you’ve lost it! Please don’t forgive because here, we don’t forgive. Keep going, but remember, Mercy has children. Don’t mess with that!” Her response instantly lit up social media, with many hailing her for standing up against what they saw as public shaming of a fellow actress.

Regina also urged Angela to consider the impact of her words, reminding her that Mercy Johnson’s children could one day see those comments online. The young mother and actress made it clear that there are boundaries; even in showbiz and attacking someone battling illness crosses the line.

But Angela Okorie didn’t stay silent. In a sharply worded Instagram story, she clapped back at Regina, dragging up their personal history and accusing her of disrespect. Angela claimed that Regina once looked up to her as a child and used to visit her home with her mother. She even took a swipe at Regina’s marriage, saying, “Just because you married an older man doesn’t mean you can talk down to me. If you keep insulting me, I’ll remind you of things you’ve forgotten.”

Angela escalated the feud by accusing Regina of lacking home training and using her marriage for financial gain, calling on younger women to prioritize self-respect and independence over money. “You really need to work on your manners,” she warned in a follow-up post.

The public war of words has sent shockwaves across the Nigerian entertainment scene, with fans choosing sides in what’s becoming one of the biggest celebrity dramas of the year. Hashtags like #ReginaVsAngela and #StandWithMercy have started trending on X (formerly Twitter), fueling debates across blogs and entertainment platforms.

As of now, Mercy Johnson has not commented on the controversy, but all eyes are on the actress as the industry awaits her next move.
