Real Madrid have confirmed that Jude Bellingham will be sidelined for around a month after sustaining a hamstring injury during Sunday’s 2–1 LaLiga victory over Rayo Vallecano, dealing a major blow to the club at a critical point in the season.
The 22-year-old England midfielder was forced off just nine minutes into the match at the Santiago Bernabéu after pulling up while chasing a long ball. Bellingham immediately clutched the back of his left thigh and, although he was able to walk off the pitch unassisted, the midfielder was visibly distraught as he made his way to the bench.
The injury comes at a testing time for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who sit second in the LaLiga standings, just one point behind leaders Barcelona. With the title race finely balanced, Real Madrid now face a demanding run of fixtures without one of their most influential players, beginning with a difficult away trip to Valencia next Sunday.

Bellingham is also expected to miss Real Madrid’s two-legged Champions League knockout playoff against Benfica later this month, a setback that could significantly affect the club’s European ambitions. His absence leaves Ancelotti with key decisions to make in midfield as Madrid attempt to maintain momentum on both domestic and continental fronts.
The midfielder has been a central figure for Los Blancos this season, and his injury is likely to raise concerns for both club and country as England monitors his recovery ahead of upcoming international commitments.
