Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has received clearance in Spain to finalize a one-year loan deal with Barcelona, which includes an option to buy.
Rashford netted 138 goals in 426 matches for Manchester United.
The 27-year-old arrived in Catalonia on Sunday night after obtaining permission from United to proceed with the transfer process to Barcelona.
Negotiations between the Spanish club and United have advanced quickly over the past week, with a preliminary agreement reached over the weekend.
United has now authorized Rashford to complete the transfer, which is structured as a 12-month loan with a buy option.
Rashford has expressed a preference for joining Barcelona since he announced in December that he was looking for a new challenge after being sidelined by United’s coach, Ruben Amorim.
This will mark Rashford’s second consecutive loan, following a six-month period with Aston Villa during the latter half of last season.
He is expected to undergo a medical examination with the La Liga team early this week, aiming to join Barcelona’s pre-season tour in Japan and South Korea on Thursday.

If he participates in the tour, he may face off against former United teammate Jesse Lingard.
Lingard, 32, is currently in his second season with K League team FC Seoul, who will play against Barcelona on July 31.
Another of Rashford’s former teammates, Monaco midfielder Paul Pogba, commented to YouTuber IShowSpeed: “I’m happy for him because they (United) took his number.
“Manchester United is losing a great player. It’s unfortunate for them, but it’s a great opportunity for Barcelona.
“It’s not really Amorim’s fault. If he doesn’t believe in someone. He needs to win. If he doesn’t win, they’ll sack him.”
