The Rangers International Football Club Foundation (RIFC Foundation) says it has concluded arrangements to organise community football match to honour departed Nigeria football legend, Christian Chukwu.
Chairman of Rangers Foundation, Coach Ebere Amaraizu, told newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday, that the community football match would be held by 4 pm on July 17.
Amaraizu said that the match will feature ex-Rangers International Football Club players against the Nigeria Breweries Plc Staff Team.
He said that the match will take place at the Nigeria Breweries Plc football pitch in Ama, near 9th Mile Corner, Enugu.
Amaraizu said that all ex-Rangers players, who have represented Nigeria and plied their trade in Europe and in the domestic league and other places, would attend the match.
According to him, the foundation is keen on promoting community cohesion, resilience, social inclusion and integration for sustainable development, especially within South-East communities and its environs.

“The foundation will make use of the instrumentality of the match and other activities within its sports-4-development programme to help in promoting health and well- being in line with its strategic goals.
“There will be a psycho-social engagement with both teams together and others to gain knowledge and insight concerning prioritising of their mental health for general well -being.
“The community football match will foster atmospheric conditions for harmonious relationship,” he said.
Amaraizu said that the foundation would be organising the match in partnership with Nigeria Breweries Plc, Silver communications and Campus Technology Life Initiative (CTLI) among others.
