Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) look set to leapfrog Madrid to sign Fabian Ruiz from Napoli at a price worth £21m.
Reportedly, Madrid’s prime target for the new season has a year left in his contract prompting Partinopei to receptively welcome a bid for the midfielder than to lose on a free transfer next season.
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Led Parisians are close to wrapping up a deal for the 26-year-old who has netted 18 goals in 125 Serie A appearances for Napoli.
If PSG eventually seal the deal for Ruiz, Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for Real Madrid this season would have been gravely affected without the presence of one of his vital targets.

Ancelotti, during his time in Napoli when Ruiz joined the club from Real Betis in 2018, has been his fan even at Madrid and believes the Spaniard can add depth to Los Blancos’ midfield.
However, PSG has gone ahead and, according to Romano, everything responds to a strategy by Luis Campos, the sports management guru who has been a star advisor to the Parisian club since Leonardo’s departure.
The Portuguese has been talking for weeks with the footballer’s agents and everything indicates that his arrival at the Parc des Princes is very close to materializing.
