President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Abuja today, September 4, to begin his 2025 annual leave, according to a statement released by the State House.
The President will be away for 10 working days and is expected to spend his vacation between France and the United Kingdom. The trip, described as a working vacation, will allow the President time for rest while also engaging in official activities abroad.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the development in the statement, noting that President Tinubu will return to the country immediately after the break.

The annual leave comes after months of heightened national engagements and international commitments, during which the President has focused on stabilising the economy, driving investment, and strengthening Nigeria’s foreign relations.
Government officials maintain that the short vacation will not affect the smooth running of state affairs, as administrative structures remain in place to ensure continuity.
President Tinubu is expected back in Nigeria later this month.
