Controversial Nigerian singer Okikiola Badmus, widely known as Portable, has been remanded at the Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
This decision follows his inability to satisfy the strict bail conditions imposed by an Upper Area Court. The situation stems from allegations of defamation filed against him by the veteran Fuji musician Akorede Saheed, popularly known as Saheed Osupa.
During his court appearance on Monday, Portable was granted bail set at N1million.
However, he was also required to meet several stringent conditions. Among these was the necessity of providing two sureties, each also liable for N1 million.
