All vehicles owners in Adamawa state have been urged to register their vehicles using the electronic Central Motor Registry (e-CMR) system to boost security and prevent vehicle theft.
The call which is geared towards enhancing security, was made by the state police command.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, highlighted the importance of the e-CMR system in validating vehicle ownership and ensuring the efficient tracking and recovery of stolen vehicles.
“This initiative ensures the authenticity of vehicle ownership and helps prevent the circulation and purchase of stolen vehicles.

The e-CMR system will streamline the process of tracking and recovering stolen vehicles, both within and outside the state,” Nguroje said.
The police urged vehicle owners to complete their registration and obtain digital CMR certificates online through the official portal at https://cmris.npf.gov.ng .
