The Adamawa State Police Command has intensified security operations in Kiri and Wuro Yanka villages of Shelleng Local Government Area after a series of violent attacks targeting cattle rearers.
The move follows reports that suspected criminals ambushed herders on different occasions, killing and injuring several livestock.
Reacting to the incidents, the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, directed the immediate deployment of additional operational personnel to the affected areas.

He instructed the officers to respond swiftly and act with professionalism to forestall further criminal activities.
“The command remains fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens,” Morris stated, emphasizing that intelligence-led policing would be central to preventing future attacks.
He also called on community members to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that can aid in crime prevention and rapid response.
