According to the statement, police operatives from Nigeria, working together with their counterparts in Ghana, recovered a 2020 Toyota Prado jeep, belonging to a Nigerian federal agency and which was stolen during a robbery in Abuja, in Ghana.
Three suspects were arrested in Ghana in connection with the stolen vehicle. The vehicle has since been returned to Nigeria and handed over to the appropriate agency.
In another development, a 2018 Toyota Hilux belonging to a different federal agency was also recovered.
“The vehicle was stolen from a staff member in Abuja in October 2024. Thanks to thorough investigations and international cooperation, the police tracked it down to Agadez, Niger Republic. It was then officially returned to the Nigeria-Niger border.
