The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has recovered the lifeless body of an unidentified suspected vandal who was electrocuted while attempting to tamper with electricity infrastructure belonging to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).
According to a statement issued by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh on Thursday, the incident occurred on January 30, 2025, at Yakubu Gowon Crescent in Asokoro.
Police operatives responded to a distress call and arrived at the scene to find the deceased near step-down electricity lines, with the tools used for the attempted vandalism recovered nearby.
however, the lifeless body was found, his accomplice reportedly fled before law enforcement arrived.

The FCT Police Command strongly warned against acts of vandalism, emphasizing that damaging public infrastructure is a serious offense that will not be tolerated.
