The police in Calabar, the Cross River State capital says, two children who were reported missing, have been found.
ASP Sunday Eitokpah, Police Public Relations Officer of the Cross River State Police Command, disclosed this in a statement in Calabar.
According to the statement, the children whose cases were circulated to the media on January 26 and 28, 2026, respectively, are currently in the custody of the Cross River State Social Welfare Home.
“Their respective parents have been identified and are presently filing and completing the necessary documentation for the formal release and reunification of the children in line with established child-protection procedures.

“The command appreciates members of the public and media partners for their cooperation, vigilance, and responsible information sharing, which contributed significantly to locating the parents.
“This process underscores the command’s commitment to the safety, welfare, and lawful handling of minors,” the statement added.
