The Kano State Police Command has urged residents in the state to exercise caution and avoid crowded places until further notice, as a preventive measure to enable security operatives identify and dislodge possible terrorists in the state.
Spokesperson of the command, Abdullahi Kiyawa, in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, highlighted that the police in liaison with other security agencies has received intelligence reports of suspected terrorists planning to launch attacks on public gatherings in strategic locations within the state.

He however, noted that the command is on high alert and has put in place all necessary security arrangements with a team of experts from the command’s explosive ordinance disposal, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear units deployed to strategic locations around the state.
