Police Nabbed Suspected Notorious Kidnappers, Recovers Gun In Delta

The Delta State Police Command has arrested suspected kidnappers named Godstime Rufus (m) 22 years, Davidson Esiso (m) 35 years, and Stanley Efeme (m) 21 years and recovered a cut-to-size gun in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.

According to a press release by the Delta State Command Police Public Relation Officer, CSP Bright Edafe, on the 22nd of January at about 9:30 pm, a kidnapped victim (name withheld) of Uvwiana Road, Agbarha, reported that he was kidnapped along Esiso Street, Agbarho.

The victim further stated that in the process of transferring him to another vehicle, he escaped from his abductors.

The statement further stated that on the 23rd of January, 2022 at about 9:30 am, the victim spotted one of the hoodlums and he immediately alerted the DPO Agbarho Police Division, CSP Samuel Ogwa who swiftly mobilized and led Police operatives to the area where the suspect Godstime Rufus of Esiso street, Agbarho was arrested.

The statement also stated that upon further interrogation and investigation, the suspect led police operatives to their hideout where two other suspects namely, Stanley Efeme of NEPA Line and Davidson Esiso of no.25 Osah Street, Agbarho were arrested and all identified by the victim.

Meanwhile, in another development, an ongoing investigation in the year 2021, March 5th to be precise, a case of armed robbery was reported at Oleh Division that one man (name withheld) age 33 years was shot and his Qlink Motorcycle was snatched from him by suspected armed robbers between Olomoro and Enhwe Communities in Isoko South, Local Government Area, Delta State.

Succinctly, investigation was then initiated and the victim was taken to Olomoro General Hospital where he was treated and discharged.

The Delta State Police Command statement also revealed that unluckily for them, on the 23rd of January, 2022, the victim spotted one of the hoodlums around Sagbama, Bayelsa State and he immediately alerted the Command.

The Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Ari Muhammed Ali directed that operatives from Oleh Division proceed to Bayelsa State for a discreet investigation to arrest the suspects.

Upon an intelligence-led investigation, one George Akporie (m) age 25 years, Prosper Asaeta (m) age 29 years, and Ezekiel Stephen (m) age 23yrs all of Igbide Community, were arrested at Sagbama in Bayelsa State and a locally-made gun was recovered from the suspects. They will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
