The Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Aboki Danjuma, has launched a manhunt for the killers of two policemen attached to the Leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Kingsley Ikoro, representing Afikpo North-West.
Danjuma, who spoke through the command’s spokesperson, Henry Okoye, on Monday in a telephone conversation with The Trumpet, said that there is no hiding place for the killers of the two policemen.
He disclosed that the police officers were already combing the bushes around the scene of the crime to apprehend the suspects and make them face the full consequences for their actions.
Some gunmen had on Sunday ambushed the two policemen and killed them at the Okigwe axis of Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.

The policemen were stationed there after one of the vehicles the majority leader and his team were traveling in developed a mechanical fault.
While the other vehicles continued the journey, the two policemen stayed by, only to be ambushed and killed thereafter.
The police commissioner said the bodies of the slain policemen have been evacuated to the morgue, while investigations have begun into the incident.
