Authorities in Adamawa State have commenced an investigation following the discovery of a lifeless body in Girei Local Government Council of the state.
The incident, reported on March 23, 2026, involved the body of a 46-year-old man identified as Ahmed Mohammed, a resident of Anguwan Hona.

According to the Adamawa State Police Command, the deceased was found hanging from a tree at the foothills of Bagale Mountain.
Police said the body was evacuated to Cottage Hospital in Girei, where a medical doctor confirmed him dead.
The case has been classified as a sudden and unnatural death, with investigators working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The police command has appealed to members of the public to provide any useful information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
