The Kaduna State Police Command has announced a restriction of movement across several local government areas in preparation for the upcoming bye-elections scheduled for Saturday.
The decision aims to guarantee a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
In a statement released on Friday, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, said that the movement restrictions will take effect starting at 12:00 am on election day.
The designated local government areas affected by this restriction include Sabon Gari, Zaria, Chikun, and Kajuru.

He urged residents to take the directive seriously and to comply fully, noting that only personnel engaged in essential duties and those with valid identification related to election responsibilities will be permitted to move freely.
