The Adamawa State Police Command has announced a massive deployment of police officers, ahead of the coronation ceremonies of the traditional rulers of Madagali and Michika.
Both royal fathers, will receive their staff of office today, in their various domains.
To ensure a hitch -free coronation, the police in a statement, announced that adequate security measures have been put in place.
In a bid to ensure a safe and orderly event, the state Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, according to the statement, has directed the deputy commissioner of police, department of operations, to oversee the security arrangements, with support from the area commander in Mubi.
Also, it said that, security measures will be concentrated in Gulak and Michika, where dignitaries and VIPs will be hosted.

To enhance security at key locations, the commanding officer of the 65 PMF and the commander of the rapid response team, will lead armed tactical teams positioned along all entry and exit routes.
Traffic control officers, under the supervision of the officer in -charge of the central motor traffic division, according to the release, which was signed by the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Yahaya Ngoroje, will ensure smooth vehicular movement around the event venues.
Additionally, the.anti-bomb squad and crowd control units, the police commissioner said, have been deployed to scan and secure the event locations, maintain order, and swiftly respond to any security threats or emergencies.
The command called on members of the public to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to safety measures.
