The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports claiming that the retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Parradang, was kidnapped, and subsequently killed by his abductors.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, clarified the circumstances surrounding Parradang’s death, emphasizing that there is no evidence of abduction.
According to the statement, Parradang arrived at Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction on March 3, 2025, at approximately 12:00pm, driving a black Mercedes Benz.
He was then said to have checked into the hotel after paying ₦22, 000 for a night’s stay, before being visited by a female guest, who was escorted to his room by a hotel attendant, and was seen leaving the hotel premises around 4:00pm.
The police said Parradang reportedly did not exit his hotel room afterward, and at approximately 4:00am on March 4, 2025, a concerned friend, who is a military officer, traced him to the hotel.
Upon arrival, the military officer, and the hotel receptionist discovered Parradang corpse, seated in a chair in his room.

“The FCT Police Command urges the public, and the media to avoid spreading unverified claims, particularly those alleging kidnapping, which could incite unnecessary panic.
