The Lagos State Police Command has cleared the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, of allegations linked to a viral video that showed him seemingly holding a gun.
In early June, a video emerged online showing Pastor Adefarasin in traffic, appearing to display a firearm.
This sparked a lot of speculation and discussion on social media, with some people claiming he was showing off a gun while being filmed by a TikToker known for capturing luxury cars.
Pastor Adefarasin denied these claims, stating that the object in question was not a real gun and that he did not aim it at anyone.
In a statement released by the police on Wednesday, SP Abimbola Adebisi said that Pastor Adefarasin came forward to the police station to discuss the incident.

After a detailed investigation, the police found that the item seen in the video was actually a stun gun, which is a non-lethal device.
Due to these findings, the police decided there was not enough evidence to continue with any legal action, and the case has been closed.
The spokesperson also reassured the public about the police’s commitment to fairness, public safety, and transparency in their investigations.
