As part of preparations for the 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA 2026), the Force Sports Planning Committee has held a two-day strategic conference and inspection of sporting facilities in Asaba, Delta State.
The conference, which took place from Friday, January 16 to Saturday, January 17, 2026, was organised to fine-tune operational plans, logistics and coordination ahead of the Nigeria Police Games scheduled to hold in Asaba from February 7 to 14, 2026.
The exercise was led by the Chairman of the Force Sports Planning Committee, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Fom Pam Joseph.
During the strategic sessions, the committee deliberated on key issues bordering on venue readiness, security arrangements, accommodation, transportation, medical services and general logistics, with emphasis placed on ensuring a seamless and professionally coordinated sporting event.

Following the conference, members of the committee embarked on an inspection tour of the sporting facilities designated for the games, where they assessed infrastructure, safety standards, logistics arrangements and overall suitability for athletes and officials expected from police commands and formations across the country.
The Force Sports Planning Committee reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a safe, orderly and successful sporting festival, assuring participants and members of the public that preparations for BIPOGA 2026 are progressing steadily.
The 15th Biennial Police Games is expected to bring together police athletes nationwide and showcase sporting excellence, unity and discipline within the Force.
