Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three suspected traffic robbers terrorizing the metropolis and recovered a mobile phone, dagger, and cash.
The alleged robbers were caught by detectives along Mobolaji Johnson, Ikeja area of the state.
In a press statement e-signed and made available to The Trumpet, the Command’s Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police (SP) stated, “Officers of Alausa division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Usman Mohammed ‘m’, Azeez Adeleke ‘m’ and Solomon Odiya ‘m’ while they were trying to escape with their loot after robbing their victims.”
According to Hundeyin, “The suspects were arrested on Sunday, June 19, 2022, following a distress call received by the police about an ongoing robbery attack at Mobolaji Johnson Ikeja.

“Items recovered from the suspects include 1 Tecno mobile phone, 1 dagger, and Five Thousand, Four Hundred Naira cash.”
Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspects have previously operated in the area a couple of times, snatching belongings of unsuspecting passers-by.
Hundeyin said the suspects will be arraigned in court at the conclusion of investigations.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, once again assured Lagosians that the Command would continue to do everything operationally possible to ensure the safety of life and property in the State.
