The Delta State Police Command has arrested two suspected notorious cultists and recovered deadly ammunition from them.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a signed statement made available to journalists.
Edafe said on November 8, 2025, at about 1735hrs, the command received credible intelligence indicating that suspected members of the Eiye Confraternity were mobilising at Ojeifo Street by Iduwe in Agbor.
He said that “without hesitation, the Agbor Divisional Police Officer, CSP Michael Obekpa, led a coordinated deployment of divisional patrol teams and the civilian anti-cult unit to the scene.”

Upon arrival, the operatives acted swiftly and arrested two notorious cult members named Agu Nnamdi of Ohumere Quarters, Agbor, and Promise Banco of No. 36 Iduwe by Ojeifo Street, Agbor-Obi.
The police spokesman stated that in a desperate attempt to conceal their activities, the suspects hid a locally fabricated pistol inside a black nylon bag, but the vigilance of the operatives uncovered the weapon.
“Both suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue, with efforts ongoing to track down other fleeing members who dispersed during the operation,” Edafe said.
