A 74-year-old man, identified as Aderinsola Addiths, has been arrested by the police in Iju Division in Lagos State for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl, Iyanu Adeosun.
The incident was reported on March 13, 2025, at approximately 1700 hours, when the victim’s father lodged a complaint at the Iju Police Station, according to Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
According to the report, the young girl informed her father that the suspect had allegedly defiled her in his room on March 12, 2025. Following the report, a team of detectives swiftly moved to the scene to investigate the matter.

The survivor was immediately taken to a hospital for medical examination and treatment, while the suspect was arrested and detained in police custody.
