The Delta State Police Command has arrested five suspects for cultism and robbery related offences in Delta State.
The arrest of the suspects was made by operatives of the Delta State Commissioner of Police Special Assignment Team (CP -SAT).
A press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright, said the police acting on credible intelligence on September 10, trailed and arrested Oluwatobi Olugbemi (29), a native of Ikenne – Remo in Ijebu – Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State
The suspect was arrested at Ogboli quarters of Ibusa Town.
Bright disclosed that upon a search warrant being executed at Olugbemi’s residence, a Beretta pistol loaded with one round of ammunition was recovered, while the suspect confessed to being a member of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, a.k.a. Arrow Barger.
In a related development, the operatives of Safe Delta on September 9, 2025, while on surveillance patrol along the DBS Road in Asaba, sighted a group of boys fighting with one of them brandishing a cutlass.

“The operatives swiftly went to the scene and in the process, arrested one Raphael Chukwuemeka, aged 23 years, with one cut-to-size double barrel pistol with seven live cartridges recovered from him,” the police stated.
Also, operatives of Safe Delta, while on a stop and search duty at Head Bridge Asaba, on September 10, 2025, intercepted three young men riding on a motorcycle.
On police officers searching the three men, recovered a locally made single barrel cut-to-size gun, cartridges and a dagger concealed in a bag.
The police statement identified the suspects as Solomon Offor (22): Ifesinachi Nwankeze (19) and Ambrose Ugwuba (23).
The statement said all the suspects are in custody, while investigations are ongoing.
