The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers following a coordinated raid in the Fufore Local Government Area of the state.
The operation, conducted on February 10, 2026, was launched after intelligence reports and directives from the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, to intensify efforts against kidnapping and other violent crimes across the state.
Police operatives, working alongside members of the Miyetti-Allah security group, stormed a suspected kidnappers’ hideout in Jera Village, Malabu District, where the suspects were arrested.
The arrested men have been identified as Lawali Haruna, Yahaya Ibrahim, and Da’u Alhaji Ahmadu.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje, said the arrests are connected to the recent abduction of Alhaji Ahmadu, who was kidnapped in Malabu on January 30, 2026.
Police confirmed that one of the suspects is the victim’s biological son.
The statement added that the suspects have confessed to their involvement in the kidnapping.

Efforts are ongoing to rescue the victim unharmed and to arrest other members of the criminal syndicate.
The commissioner of police commended the collaboration between the police and local security stakeholders and urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to support the investigation.
The police confirmed that all three suspects are residents of Jera Village in Fufore Local Government Area and will remain in custody as investigations continue.
