The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command says it has arrested 11 suspected drug dealers and seized 68 bags of substances believed to be cannabis in Abuja.
The suspects were nabbed during coordinated raids by the command’s Anti-Narcotics Unit at several drug black spots in the territory.
According to the police, the operation was part of its ongoing clampdown on drug trafficking and related crimes that have fueled insecurity in the capital city.
Spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the arrests on Saturday, said the raids were aimed at disrupting “criminal supply networks” and ensuring dangerous substances are taken off the streets.
